OOTD – I should have been a Unicorn!

On Sunday, I ventured out for Japanese again. Yep, it was that good I had to go again so soon. I got dressed, all cute and then realised the weather had changed and it was too cold to wear the outfit. Oh well. I decided to take photos anyway because as I mentioned, I thought it was super cute. Still trying to shop my wardrobe and wear things that haven’t seen the light of day, so the clothes aren’t available, but the brooches are! I teamed this awesome shirt (last seen here and here) with 2 of the unicorn brooches I have. Seeing as I have a fractured arm and had to…

    Outfit – Jeans and tee!

Oh hey, it’s me! You may not have recognised me due to the fact that I’m wearing jeans and a tee. Yes, it has been done. I’ve always envied people who can pull of the jeans & tee combo, who make it look comfortable and chic. Being apple shaped I’ve always felt that it didn’t suit me. But you know what, who cares? I’m all about body positivity, but I sometimes shy away from things that I feel make me look ‘fat’, which is stupid. I am fat. No matter what I wear, I’m going to be fat. The whole ideal ‘fat’ body image shits me. People accepting fat bodies…

Outfit – Stars and Pinks Stockings – Melbourne Museum

Oh hey, look, it’s an actual outfit post! It’s been a bit, I know. Sadly, my camera is broken and I can get it to work if it’s zoomed out, but it won’t focus. I also can’t afford a new camera, so it may be a while before I have good quality outfit pictures. Sorry! Anyway, on Monday, I headed into the city to meet my long time online buddy Lucy. I met up with Lucy, her husband, daughter and later, her brother at Naked for Satan. I adore Naked for Satan (I went there for my 30th birthday!) and I got to sit on the outside balcony for the…

    Outfit – Grungy Grey Chic

In Melbourne, you wear layers. It’s something I’m still learning. The mix of this hi-low dress and my oversized chambray jacket made me feel very 90’s grunge. Even more so when I added in my headphones. When I go and see my psych, I like to be comfortable. There is a 90% chance i’m going to cry, so I always go make up free. I’m so glad I found a psych I like here in Melbourne, even if it is an hour journey each way to see him. My mental health has been pretty horrid lately, so i’m on a fortnightly schedule. It’d be weekly if I could afford it.…

Outfit and Event – Supanova Melbourne

Last Sunday, I headed out to Supanova. For those who have been looong time readers, you’ll know I used to work in the convention industry. My last con was 6 years ago, so it’s been an age since I’ve been to one. Boy have they grown! I was quite stunned at just how huge it’s grown. Having put a poll on Twitter asking which of two outfits I should wear, and the clear winner was an Ursula/Disney Villians themed outfit. I think it turned out pretty well and I was super comfy. Seeing as I was working on three hours of sleep comfort was a big thing. One of the…
