    Two Years of Toby!

Two years! Can you believe it?! Around this day 2 years ago, Craig and I went for a drive to a park in the Glass House Mountains, to meet a lady about a dog. We stood in the parking lot marveling at this teeny tiny puppy and decided yep, he’s my boy.  If you’ve been following me for A LONG time, you’d know all about Mr Frodo and how much he meant to me. How heartbroken I was when he passed. Then after some time, how much I wanted a dog. I even wrote a post “When all you want in life is a dog“. I’d been waiting a while,…

Event – 2018 Anatolian Easter Festival

I’m a little all over the shop with updating, I know, sorry!  I had decided to wait to do a post on the Anatolian show until I had finished the video, but that was delayed. Firstly a few of the files were somehow corrupt, then my video editor kept crashing. I ended up purchasing a new video editor and then had to learn it all! I probably spent 20+ hours on the video and tbh, it’s pretty crappy, but oh well. You can view it at the end of the post. If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know i’m a dog person. Well, a dog person who owns cats.…

    Anatolian Champion Show of 2017

Friday was the 2017 Anatolian Champion Show. If you’ve followed me for awhile you already know how much I love animals, dogs in particular and especially the Anatolian Shepherd. This is the 4th year i’ve been, you can see previous years on the blog too. I headed out to the local camp the Thursday night, people come in from around Victoria and even interstate and most stay at a camp ground out near the event. Gunner (Takas Gungadin) and Jicky. These guys are litter mates and hadn’t seen each other since they went their separate ways as puppies. They must have some sort of memory though because they became fast…

    Event – Melbourne Show

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my second Royal Melbourne Show. Yet again, I went with my friends Hayley and Zanthi. It seems to be the only time we catch up, but I always have such a great time hanging out with them. You can read a bit about last years adventures HERE. First up, the vlog. It’s a little hard to explain how fun the show is, so I decided to share it all with you as a vlog. I’ve been asked for more video content, I’m so awkward, but I tried! The show is ultimately an agriculture show that started 162 years ago. I grew up…

Giant horses, huge dogs & puppies, OH MY!

You’ve heard me rave on about Anatolian Shepherds a lot on the blog, it’s easy to say they are a breed I feel strongly about and absolutly adore. I’m lucky that Melbourne has a pretty amazing community surrounding these dogs and on Tuesday I went and helped out on the Takas Volkodav property. By help out I mean, play with all the animals. This is Geronimo, he’s HUGE! It takes a lot to make me feel small and standing next to him, well, I felt pretty small! There is a picture where his head is in front of my body and it’s pretty much the size of my torso. He…
