OOTD – Feminine!

My parents often shake their heads and exclaim “We raised you to be a lady, what happened?”. Yes, they are being playful, but I know some i’m not exactly the prim and proper little girl they expected. If you put my niece Sharn and I together at the dinner table, you are likely to get some interesting conversation. That being said, I know how to behave properly when I need to. I know which fork is which and what side the bread plate goes. For my Mum’s birthday, I decided to dress up all girly.

Though, of course i’ll stand out in front of our house and flash my petticoat for the world to see! I’ve never worn a full tulle petticoat, and it was super fun, made me feel very feminine. I often find that I have two very different fashion loves, the ultra girly and the glitzy goth. I blame it on being a Gemini. I really wish I could have worn heels, but it’s just not possible with the way my back currently is. 🙁

The cream skirt actually used to be a dress, until this morning that is. (You can see the original dress HERE). The bust of the dress had always been a little large on me, as I only have small boobs, and seeing as I’ve lost some weight, well, it just looked ridiculous. So, yes, I took the scissors to a $150 dress. However, I LOVE it as a skirt and have a feeling i’ll get a lot more wear out of it.
