    And another birthday!

Yes, a lot of my loved ones have birthdays in December, the most recent was my niece Sharntelle, who celebrated her 19th birthday yesterday. My sister picked me up early, as she decided we’d make Sharn a profiterole cake for her birthday. I’ve never made profiteroles, but by golly home made ones are YUMMY! I was on hand to help out. We did 3 batches of profiteroles, then filled them with home made custard. We covered them in milk chocolate, white chocolate and white chocolate with food colouring to make a pinky-purple colour. Then sprinkles and silver balls. We were originally trying to stack them to make a tall cake, but it wasn’t working too well,…

    Quick Pics!

Earrings & Necklace I picked up at the Diva sale! Henry-cat has been playing Frontierville on Facebook! Adam decided last week that he wanted to make a baked cheesecake. He’s been learning to make things & enjoys cooking on the weekends. Neither of us had ever made a cheesecake before, but he needed me on hand to teach him some of the things. The end result = yum! We took it to the in laws & everyone loved it. For our first attempt, I was very proud of it! Webcam shots – The Diva earrings & necklace on & my nails.

    Quick Pics & Amanda Palmer!

The Evelyn Evelyn & Amanda Palmer concert was AH-MAZING! So so so good! It was held at The Spiegeltent at Adelaide Fringe. This is the first time i’ve gone to the Fringe and it was so much fun! It was like a little fair! Tents with all different performances, food stalls, rides, quaint little stores selling jewellery and henna tattoos! I had a great time!  Evelyn Evelyn were fantastic! Words cannot describe how amazing they are to see live! Certainly would have taken a lot of practice to play instruments like that! I could have watched for another hour! Amanda didn’t disappoint either! The show was only for an hour,…

    Small OOTD & health update!

This year (as I think I mentioned) I had decided to get all my health problems I’ve been putting off, up to date. So of course, what happens, I get really sick! I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes around 2 years ago, fortunately I’ve been able to keep it under control with diet. However, the past 10 days, it’s not dropped under 11, hitting a high of 20 (which is BAD). Now, when it’s that high, I feel sick. The worst, is just the feeling of being over everything. I did not want to get out of bed. I didn’t want to go shopping. I didn’t want to do…

    Quick Pics!

First up, I didn’t get my licence. I didn’t even get to sit for it! Boo! Alas, I don’t have my birth certificate! Thing that irked me, was that I could use a NSW Proof of age card, if it was issued 2005 or beyond. Mine was issued in Oct 2004! Just my luck! New books! YAY! I love getting new books! I picked up the Anne Rice & Colleen Gleason Books at Kmart for a whole $4 each! BARGAIN! I now have 3 out of 4 of the Colleen Gleason books! The Katie MacAlister books I bought from Borders and ended up costing me $9.76 each! I wish all…
