Sugers Confident You – Week One

The oh so wonderful Suger recently released her “Confident you body confidence photo challenge“. Phew, that’s a bit of a mouth full. She asked me to share my thoughts on body confidence and I jumped at the chance. I also decided to try and give the challenge a go. I usually suck at keeping up with them, but with this being 14 days instead of a whole month, I decided to give the whole thing a go. I’ve been sharing it on my instagram, but decided that I would compile them all into weekly round up posts. 1. What body confidence means to you. 2. You / Selfie. (picture in…

    Underwear, that’s fun to wear!

I have a confession to make, I have never been properly fitted for a bra. Nope. Though I know I am not alone. I found the perfect t-shirt bra a few years ago, bought 4 (2 white, 1 black, 1 bright pink) and called it day. While I do love lingerie, a lot of it isn’t for every day wear, especially plus size items. It’s all babydolls and frills. There never used to be a good ‘inbetween’. Something sexy & stylish, comfortable yet firm, but also affordable. I’d always looked at the lingerie City Chic released, and would sigh. Aussie Curves – Swimwear

Wowza! It’s only halfway through January and already i’m really pushing through some of my personal body issues. I’ve been on like body love/acceptance journey for years, but I still have some insecurities. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t, but you know what, I’m okay with that. This is my first Aussie Curves post for the year, i’ve been really slack with it lately, and I really should have jumped back in last week. I mean, I have over 100 pairs of shoes, I’m sure I could have chosen one pair to showcase! Anyway, this weeks theme is Swimwear, so here you go, my first  adult bikini! Can…

    On comparisons and being enough

Hi, I’m Leah and I blog over at Only in the last couple of years since I’ve immersed myself in the plus size world on the internet have I felt it’s OK – as a fat woman – to be myself. I’m a feminist and have slowly realised some of my deep-rooted beliefs have been programmed into me from a young age and aren’t actually my beliefs. It means I now have a healthy dose of cynicism towards popular opinion and the illusion of perfection. One of the most important things I’ve realised is that women are encouraged to be competitive in a way which differs to the way…

    Meeting Tess Munster!

Last Thursday, the gorgeous Tess Munster held a ‘meet & greet’ in Melbourne. Being a ‘fan’ of Tess’s for ages now, I thought I’d try and get to the event, and luckily a fellow member of Aussie Curves was nice enough to pick me up & drop me home! I’m still getting used to Melbourne, and it was an area I had no idea how to get to. The event started at 5pm & Stacey and I arrived around 7pm. This photo was taken shortly after we arrived, can you spot me? Thats me standing about a cm away from the right of the bar. I didn’t realise my hair…
