Aitutaki – Hermit Crabs and Hospitals!

One thing Aitutaki had was an abundance of wildlife, one of my favourites were the hermit crabs. I’ve been a lover of hermit crabs for ages, and I used to have a huge tank with a dozen of them, all named after Harry Potter characters. I was so excited to see them in the wild, in their natural environment, and by golly there were seriously thousands! All shapes and sizes! The year in review!

JANUARY – The New Year was spent with my parents staying at my place in Adelaide, they came for Christmas. I really enjoyed having my parents stay, see my house, meet Henry. I was super bummed because I was all set and ready to go to the Curvy Clothing Swap. Fast forward, pain + pain killers + a large dose of sedatives, which I later found out were out of date, landed me in…

    Of Hospitals & Back Pain!

So, I managed to do grocery shopping on Friday. Very slowly. However, when I got home, I managed to hurt my back even further. Joy of all joys. In fact, I couldn’t move. In fact, my in-laws had to call an ambulance. I think this is the first time I’ve been a patient in an ambulance (Is it bad that I can’t remember if I’ve been in one before?). When the ambos arrived I was given this amazing green whistle type instrument that you breath through called a ‘Penthrox Inhaler’ & boy was that good! I have to say, I think Modbury Hospital has a good Emergency Room. I’ve visited…
