I’d been slightly panicked weeks in advance for the ‘Tribal’ theme. Tribal! I don’t own anything tribal! When I think tribal, I think earth tones, gold jewellery, eclectic patterns. Nope, I don’t have any of that in my wardrobe. So, I kept my eyes out for anything tribal in sale sections, hoping to score a bargain. Savoir came from Belle Curve, a new plus size clothing collection that you can pick up at Myer. In the city for VFNO, Caitlin I ventured into Myer & we pawed over the collection in person. When I was invited to MBFF my first thought was ‘OMG, what am I going to wear?’. I’m the kind of person who wakes up on the day and throws on whatever I feel like wearing. MBFF | Myer | Big is Beautiful | The show!
Today I was lucky enough to attend Myers Big is Beautiful show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival! The show featured designs from 15 brands. My Thoughts In one word. Safe. While, I do understand most brands try and cater for ‘everyone’, it would be nice to see a little bit more boundary pushing. More form fitting, less billow. The theme was very nautical, and I did love the use of stripes. White was heavily featured, as was neutral tones. I would love to have seen more colour. When I walked in to City Chic a few weeks ago, I noticed this top in Red on a mannequin & instantly fell in love. I love CC puff sleeve tops, I have two of the stripe ones and they are so comfortable! They had it in black so I instantly put it on lay by!
