    Bye Bye Betsy

On Monday the much loved Betsy passed away. I still feel odd. I cried when my Mum rang, and a few times after, and now I just feel numb. I think it will hit more once I’m back at my parents place in Sydney. You can view the post on when we got Betsy here. We never knew how old she was, and soon after adopting her, we realised she was deaf. We weren’t positive at first because her ears were full of mites and we thought that may have been a hindrance, but no, she was deaf. We also found out she had been de-barked. That didn’t stop her barking…

    Melbourne Scenery!

Sorry for the short hiatus. My parents are currently in Melbourne and I’ve been staying with them in their cabin. It’s been nice to get away and to see more of Melbourne, and of course, it’s great seeing my parents and their dogs. I miss them all terribly. The caravan park they are staying at has THE BEST kids area, which of course, I had to take advantage of. In the picture above, you can see me on what I can only describe as the offspring of a trampoline & jumping castle. It’s SO much fun! The other day we took a day trip out to Drouin and Warragal, which…

    My Sydney visit in Pictures!

As I mentioned in my last post, I recently spent just over a week in Sydney visiting my parents. I had such a great time, and now i’m back in Melbourne, I’m missing them already. Getting to see my parents dogs were a bit of a highlight. Betsy (above) has some health problems, so I always have this worry in the back of my head about her. It was great to get snuggles with her and see her cute shenanigans! My nephew Caleb surprised me at the airport! It took me a moment to click who this tall guy with a pokemon hat on was! He’s grown SO tall, he’s…

    Answer This… Cats or Dogs?

Ahh, the age old question, cats or dogs? To be honest, it’s hands down DOGS for me! I do however love all animals & currently only own a cat!  If I had my way, I’d have a dog, and hopefully it’s on the cards for this year, but I do love my cat. I got my first dog when I was around 6 and apart from the last year, have always had at least one dog. My first dog was an Aussie Silky called Billy, then there was an Aussie Silky x Maltese named Prince. Frodo was my 3rd dog, and then I got Ginny (who lives with my ex).…

    Keep on moving!

Sometimes it seems its one step forward, two steps back. It’s frustrating. I’ve come down with some flu and my body just wants me to sleep, and then I feel overwhelmed by the list of things I should be doing instead of resting. I need to take a breath. I need to stress less. The animals in this household never fail to bring my joy. Betsy is finally realising more and more that she can be a dog, that she can do things and not get into trouble for it. She’s sometimes even pushing those limits, but it’s amazing to see her not be afraid to show personality. She’s loving…
