Outfit – Birds and browns
Melbourne is back to its funny weather. One day warm, the next cold. I’m enjoying bringing out some of my warmer clothes that have been hiding away. Does anyone else sometimes forget what is lurking in their closets in the opposite months? I’m still trying to ‘shop my wardrobe’ and wear pieces that don’t get as much love. I’ve had this vest for years, in fact, the last time it was featured was in 2012 (here and here). It’s a straight size XL and goes nowhere near closing, but I remember I just loved it so much I didn’t care. It’s a vest, does it matter if it doesn’t close?…

Outfit – Beth Ditto Polka Dots
It’s been an age since I’ve worn this dress, we’re talking years! I find I have items in my wardrobe that I just adore, but don’t tend to reach for. I think this one mainly comes down to the crinkles and the neckline. It crinkles rather easily and I don’t iron. I also prefer lower necklines. But it wasn’t nearly as claustrophobic as I remembered. I wore this out yesterday to Yum Cha with family and seeing as I was getting a ride, I didn’t have to dress in 3000 layers to battle Melbournes cold. YAY. Of course, I am wearing stockings and a singlet underneath, but I was warm…

Outfit – Lingerie Like Goth Kimono
Guess what! I have a camera again! Now I just have to figure it all out but I’m so excited to finally have a digital SLR! Now, onto the outfit post. I seem to have two fashion moods lately, experimental, or ‘my uniform’. My uniform tends to be THIS, with those pants in any of the colours I own, teamed with this jumper. If you follow me on Instagram, you’re probably sick of seeing that jumper. I love it so much I own two, in the same colour. Experimental tends to be this *gestures to the pictures*. My inner teen goth seems to be fighting to the surface and wanting…

Outfit – Stars and Pinks Stockings – Melbourne Museum
Oh hey, look, it’s an actual outfit post! It’s been a bit, I know. Sadly, my camera is broken and I can get it to work if it’s zoomed out, but it won’t focus. I also can’t afford a new camera, so it may be a while before I have good quality outfit pictures. Sorry! Anyway, on Monday, I headed into the city to meet my long time online buddy Lucy. I met up with Lucy, her husband, daughter and later, her brother at Naked for Satan. I adore Naked for Satan (I went there for my 30th birthday!) and I got to sit on the outside balcony for the…

Outfit – Grungy Grey Chic
In Melbourne, you wear layers. It’s something I’m still learning. The mix of this hi-low dress and my oversized chambray jacket made me feel very 90’s grunge. Even more so when I added in my headphones. When I go and see my psych, I like to be comfortable. There is a 90% chance i’m going to cry, so I always go make up free. I’m so glad I found a psych I like here in Melbourne, even if it is an hour journey each way to see him. My mental health has been pretty horrid lately, so i’m on a fortnightly schedule. It’d be weekly if I could afford it.…
