Monthly Catch Up – May Edition
I know, I’ve been really sucky when it comes to blogging. I’ve lost my mojo. I think I just feel that it doesn’t get read and I don’t want to force it. So I decided that I’m just going to do whatever I feel like! I also thought it was a good idea to do like a Monthly catch up to just share what I’ve been doing when I haven’t done a full dedicated post on something. I’ve been trying to say ‘YES!’ to more opportunities but I’ve also been wanting to stay in the moment and not have my phone in my hands all the time. It doesn’t help…

Event – 20 Years of Placebo Tour
Like a lot of my favourite bands and musicians from my teen years, I was introduced to Placebo by my friend Kylie. Being a couple of years older, she introduced me to a lot of music that I probably wouldn’t have heard of otherwise. Considering this is the ‘20 Year Tour‘, that would have made me 11. I don’t think I was actually listening to Placebo at 11, I think it was more 13 and beyond. Thankfully, I was super lucky to get a ticket as a birthday gift because there was no way I could afford to pay $160 for one ticket. I was super sick leading up to the…

Concert/Event/Review – Adam Brand
Now wait a minute, I know, I know, you’re probably thinking “wait, what? Adam Brand?”. In fact, I had a friend who asked what I was up to and replied “and you think you know a person” when I explained I went to an Adam Brand concert. Here is the thing, I LOVE music. I’m one of those people who wish they were musical, but suck at it, so they immerse themselves into just listening and loving music. And let’s just say, my music taste is varied. Very varied. So when my friend Mallory mentioned going to a gig down the road from me, I was set to go, if only…

Concert! B*Witched, Atomic Kitten, S Club, East 17 & Liberty X!
Yesterday was a big day for me, but a brilliant one and I am so glad I pushed myself to do it all. In the early afternoon I went and visited my psych and then in the evening, my friend Mallory invited me to a concert. Now, that may not seem like much for most people, but it’s a lot for me. I ended up spending just over 4 hours on public transport. Oh, and the temperature reached 38°c. The concert was a mishmash of early 2000 British music acts, so basically music I LOVED! In my early teens I loved British pop music and would buy Top of the…

The day I met Five!
So, last friday night (now I want to start singing Katy Perry) the above happened. I met Five! Well, four of the remaining members of Five. I’ve not been shy of my love of shy, i’ve written a post about them before here, and my Five shirt has made an appearance on the blog not once, but twice. I’ve been a Five fan since 1997, basically since I was around 12 years old. I remember seeing them on the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party and just kind of falling in love. They really became a huge part of my life and helped me get through so many of those ‘teen…
