OOTD: Feminine Floral
I’m going out tomorrow night to a themed event. The event states “Dress to Impress: 1920’s – 50’s Gangsters, Flappers, Molls, Burlesque, Vintage Glamour, Dance Hall Swing & Rockabilly”, so I used today to try and figure out what to wear. Sadly, I’d packed what I had intended to wear, so I had to dig around in my wardrobe. I’m still debating between this outfit, or maybe THIS ONE, but with my petticoat underneath. Probably not the shoes I’d normally pick, but seeing as 90% of them are packed, these will do. Plus, they are comfortable, so I won’t have to worry about sore feet on Fathers Day! OOTD & blog layout changes!
When i’m depressed, my fashion sense goes down the drain. THIS is what I threw on yesterday, I didn’t care what I was wearing, I just wanted comfort and warmth. I know in myself, that sometimes making the effort to wear pretty clothes, to get dressed up, can help boost your mood. So today, off to see my Psych, I thought I should actually put a little effort into what I’m wearing. After wearing a Lou and Chow necklace at Fashion Week (here!), Kate sent me a couple of bangles to wear. Can I just take a moment to say, OH MY GOD! So, while I’m plus size, I don’t…

OOTD – She’s like a rainbow!
A few years ago, I would not have ever worn this outfit. First of all, WHERE IS THE BLACK? Second of all, maxi dress! However, when I stumbled upon this dress for $10 at the Millers after Christmas sales, I couldn’t say no. It was bright, crazy & absolutely fascinating. I’ve worn it around the house heaps (its soooo comfy) but this was the first time I’ve worn it out (last weekend, when shopping in the city!) I was originally going to pair this with black. Black belt, cardi & shoes, but I though “No, live a little” and went with a pale pink. I think it turned out pretty…

The Beach! Yay!
Whilst here, my nephew casually mentioned that he’s never really been to the beach. He’s seen them, been past them, dined near them, but never got down in the sand & been in the water. I decided we needed to change that! So on the Friday before he left, late afternoon we headed off to Largs! We chose a good night actually. At first we weren’t sure if it’d be too chilly, it’s now Autumn here & there was a slight breeze, but the weather turned out to be perfect. It was warm, without the sand being scoulding. There was a nice breeze & the water was the most brilliant…

Quick Pics 1st of the New Year!
Looking a little haggard! I’ve been busy nearly every day of this New Year! It’s been fun, but i’m certainly not used to it! You can kind of see part of one of the new dresses I’ve picked up in the sales. It’s from Millers & was $20! It’s a Tye dye maxi! Piggy! (Aka Ginny) I’ve been having fun playing around with my Mums digital SLR. I love it! My parents dog Emily! Isn’t she adorable! It’s been fun seeing her with my dogs! My parents got her just over a year ago. She’s a rescue dogs. When they first got her, she was so timid & scared. It’s amazing…
