Outfit and Event – Supanova Melbourne

Last Sunday, I headed out to Supanova. For those who have been looong time readers, you’ll know I used to work in the convention industry. My last con was 6 years ago, so it’s been an age since I’ve been to one. Boy have they grown! I was quite stunned at just how huge it’s grown. Having put a poll on Twitter asking which of two outfits I should wear, and the clear winner was an Ursula/Disney Villians themed outfit. I think it turned out pretty well and I was super comfy. Seeing as I was working on three hours of sleep comfort was a big thing. One of the…

    Concert/Event/Review – Adam Brand

Now wait a minute, I know, I know, you’re probably thinking “wait, what? Adam Brand?”. In fact, I had a friend who asked what I was up to and replied “and you think you know a person” when I explained I went to an Adam Brand concert. Here is the thing, I LOVE music. I’m one of those people who wish they were musical, but suck at it, so they immerse themselves into just listening and loving music. And let’s just say, my music taste is varied. Very varied. So when my friend Mallory mentioned going to a gig down the road from me, I was set to go, if only…

    White Night Ballarat

On Saturday, I headed into Ballarat for the first time in around 20 years. The trip was a lot easier than expected, I just had to make my way into Southern Cross station and jump on the V-Line. My everyday Myki card works for the trip and ended up only costing like $6 (each way). I had never been on a V-Line train and I was impressed. It was super comfortable and quite spacious with fold down tray tables and toilets in every carriage. It took around an hour and a half to get to Ballarat. We strolled around the streets a little and stopped by an Irish Pub before heading to…

    Concert! B*Witched, Atomic Kitten, S Club, East 17 & Liberty X!

Yesterday was a big day for me, but a brilliant one and I am so glad I pushed myself to do it all. In the early afternoon I went and visited my psych and then in the evening, my friend Mallory invited me to a concert. Now, that may not seem like much for most people, but it’s a lot for me. I ended up spending just over 4 hours on public transport. Oh, and the temperature reached 38°c. The concert was a mishmash of early 2000 British music acts, so basically music I LOVED! In my early teens I loved British pop music and would buy Top of the…

    Anatolian Shepherd Champion Show 2016

It’s that time of year when the Anatolian Shepherd dog show rolls around. This was my 3rd year and 4th show attended & I’m more in love with these dogs than ever. It’s been amazing getting to know the dogs & their owners and to see the community grow. There were lots of new dogs this year and many familiar faces. It was interesting to see some of the more recent litters and their temperaments. So many of the younger dogs were so friendly and wanting of attention, be it human or other dogs. I’m not saying the older Anatolians aren’t that way, but I guess they are more set…
