    OOTD: Maxi Dress

After dragging this pink top thingy out for the orange themed Aussie Curves post (Here), I remembered just how hard I found it to style. I’m not sure if it’s the length, the cut, the sheer, but I’m never quite sure how to wear it. So I decided to challenge myself and try and find a different way to wear it. If you hadn’t noticed, I’m not a huge fan of maxi dresses. I have a few, but I often find them restrictive and I get caught up in them. I’m such a huge clutz that if I wore them often I’d end up hurting myself. I’d picked this one…

    OOTD: Crazy

This is a bit of a crazy outfit, what can I say, sometimes I just embrace my eclectic side. Getting dressed that morning I decided to wear to pink, and seeing as I was staying home, I decided I could break the ‘leggings as pants’ rule. I mean, it would only be my parents seeing me, oh and of course everyone who reads my blog! 😛 I was having a day where I just wasn’t feeling ‘myself’. A bit down in the dumps and unsure of everything. Moving, men, and menstrual cramps are to blame. So, I decided to put on some make up. Don’t ask what’s up with my hair, I…

In the dressing room – Big W

I have to admit, lately I’ve found the plus size section of Big W boring. It had been drab & dreary, clothing to cover, not enhance. So I was quite pleasantly surprised when I checked out my local store today to find a selection of amazing coloured pants, printed leggings and a colour block ponte pencil skirt. The cobalt blue and bright red pants. They still have a way to go, but it was a step in the right direction. I forgot to look what sizes they go up to, but I know that they came in sizes 18-26. I picked up two pairs of the bright pink jeans to try on, and give…

    OOTD: Print clashing layers!

It’s not been since I worked at Conventions that i’d been up and dressed by 9am on a Sunday, but today, much to Mr Frodo’s displeasure I was up and out of the house by 8:50am! My parents and I were heading up to the base of the Blue Mountains. Knowing it gets colder (It was around 15°c) I figured i’d layer, layer, layer. I never feel I can do layers ‘right’, but seeing pictures on The Carpenters Daughter facebook always inspires me to try. LEGGINGS – Autograph (Not Seen) MAXI DRESS – Big W PINK SHEER LONG SHIRT – City Chic (On sale for $20 HERE!) BLACK LONG CARDI – Old, I think it’s…

    OOTD & Happy Easter

Yesterday, I finally had the chance to go to the cinemas and see ‘The Hunger Games’. I really enjoyed the film and from what I can remember (I read the books over a year ago) it stuck pretty closely to the books. I didn’t wear the sunglasses out, it was just so bright trying to take outfit photos, I threw them on. I don’t actually own any good sunglasses, they are on the list of things to save up for, as I really do need to invest in a good pair of prescription sunnies. These make me look like a fly! My parents dog Emily decided to join me for…
