Outfit – Denim & Lace
I know I said in my post the other day (here) that I don’t really wear denim, and that’s the truth, but it is ‘IN’ at the moment, it’s everywhere, and I kept getting drawn to this top at ASOS. After seeing a girl out wearing a similar top, I decided to take the plunge and buy it for myself when it went on sale. I found it really hard to style though, I don’t wear collared shirts often.
I decided to make it extra feminine. Sure, to me, the denim shirt does have this ‘country’ type vibe to it, but the lace adds that lady like touch. I was really worried when I made this dress into a skirt a couple of years ago, but I’m glad I did, I wear it more as a skirt then I ever would as a dress.
While over the past few years I’ve left my ‘all black’ wardrobe behind and embraced a rainbow of colours, it still weird to see myself in so much white/cream. I’m still not a huge fan of such light colours, I’m pale enough as it is I find they make me look even more of a ghost!
