Adventure time!

I think it really hit me yesterday, that I’m going to be spending 2 weeks on an island in the middle of the ocean. 2 weeks, on an island, where all I can see is sea. With little internet access. Que me freaking out a little. I know i’ll be okay, when I visit my parents holiday place I have hardly any internet access. I tend to just relax, read, and nap a lot. I know i’m slightly addicted to the internet, to social media, to being connected, and I know this will probably stress me at times, but I can do it. Though, I am still going to be on an island miles from any large quantity of land.

 I’m all packed and ready, with my awesome new suitcase (thanks to American Tourister). I’m glad I chose the lime green, I don’t think it looks out of place hiding in with the plants in my backyard. Is it weird to be in love with a suitcase? I plan to do a post after the holidays to let you all know how it holds up. It’s now packed full, I’ve probably over packed, but it’s mostly swimsuits, swimsuits, swimsuits, 4 pairs of shoes and 3 bottles of sunscreen.

By the time that this publishes, I’ll be on my way to my sisters. Our flight is not until late. I’m excited about the flight, I miss flying. Yes, I’m one of those people who loves to fly, that being said, I’ve never been on such a long trip. The furthest I’ve ever been is New Zealand.  I kind of wish I could have spent a week in Auckland on the way back, but this is the first time i’ve left Tonka for longer then a night. I think it will be a stressful fortnight for my fur babies, and for my parents who are looking after them. (Thank you!)

So, what does that mean for the blog? The show must go on! Yes, never fear, I have posts scheduled to go live while i’m away, so it will be normal reading as always. However, there will be delays in comment replies, emails, social media interaction etc. I’m unsure as to how much net access i’ll have, but make sure to follow my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I’ll be using #XLinAitutaki.
