Melbourne Fashion Week Plus celebrated with a launch party on the Thursday night. I headed into the city early as I had a meeting with a company, and then headed to where the Queensland Crew were staying. Watching the flurry of activity as they got dressed had me excited for the weekend and the fashion events to come.

It was a great night to catch up with people I hadn’t seen in ages and meet people I’ve interacted with online. Each designer also had a model in their clothing as a ‘living mannequin’. I felt a little sorry for those in lingerie and swimwear, it was cooold! But it was all such a great atmosphere!

The ever so wonderful organisers, they did such a great job! They constantly worked on making improvements to make it the best event possible. I really liked the venue, it was intimate but still spacious. Plus, they had a wine bar!

I was also super excited to get a photo with Kath of Fat Heffalump. I’ve been following Kath for years online and she’s been such an inspiration for me. I don’t feel I have a very good way with words but I often read along to Kath’s blogs and just nod thinking “YES! Exactly”.

Plus, how amazing is the tunic she’s wearing!? It’s by Joolz Fashion and I want it, and the leggings desperately! As for me, I went for something comfortable and warm (see my OOTD post HERE) as I had to make the trek home afterwards.
