    Lustlist! It’s been a while!

Yep, it’s been a minute since I’ve done a lustlist. I’ve been browsing around the internet a lot, but really just in a bit of daze. I’ve not really been interested in fashion. I’ve basically been living in pyjamas. But as a distraction, I decided to sit down and do a lustlist of things that have caught my eye recently. Pretty Little Thing – Equal Tie Dye Co Ord – $40 || June was Pride month, so of course all the retailers jump on the bandwagon. I think it’s a big of a money grab, but I do love rainbow and Pride. This co-ord set just looks so cute and…

    Anatolian Champion Show of 2017

Friday was the 2017 Anatolian Champion Show. If you’ve followed me for awhile you already know how much I love animals, dogs in particular and especially the Anatolian Shepherd. This is the 4th year i’ve been, you can see previous years on the blog too. I headed out to the local camp the Thursday night, people come in from around Victoria and even interstate and most stay at a camp ground out near the event. Gunner (Takas Gungadin) and Jicky. These guys are litter mates and hadn’t seen each other since they went their separate ways as puppies. They must have some sort of memory though because they became fast…

    Anatolian Shepherd Champion Show 2016

It’s that time of year when the Anatolian Shepherd dog show rolls around. This was my 3rd year and 4th show attended & I’m more in love with these dogs than ever. It’s been amazing getting to know the dogs & their owners and to see the community grow. There were lots of new dogs this year and many familiar faces. It was interesting to see some of the more recent litters and their temperaments. So many of the younger dogs were so friendly and wanting of attention, be it human or other dogs. I’m not saying the older Anatolians aren’t that way, but I guess they are more set…

For the love of big dogs.

It’s funny, all my life, my own ‘personal’ dogs have been small dogs. The dog-love-of-my-life Frodo was a Dachshund x Mini Foxie and before him was a Min-Pin and a range of Aussie Silky Terriers. So, small. The main interaction in my life, with a big dog, was with my Mums dog King. For some reason, we went to the RSPCA and my Mum fell in love with this great big black dog & my parents decided to adopt him. Sadly, he hadn’t been desexed, probably because they didn’t think he’d get adopted. When we went to pick him up, he sat on Mums lap on the back seat all…

2015 çoban köpegi festival! (Anatolian Dog show)

This weekend saw me attend the 2015 çoban köpegi festival. This is the 2nd year i’ve attended the festival, and the 3rd event for the Anatolian. You can see those posts HERE & HERE. Up above, is Zazu and I, if you read the 2nd post I just linked to, he was the puppy I babysat, well, he’s grown in the 6 months since I’d seen him. Click here for a comparison selfie! The event is basically a big get together for Anatolian owners, to show their dogs in 10 categories. I really enjoyed this years Judge as he took the time to explain what he was looking for in the category…
