Yarra Valley Chocolateries Hot Chocolate Festival!

I’m pretty lucky to have some awesome friends, and some of my favourites kidnapped me on Monday to take me to a hot chocolate festival. Though it probably wasn’t kidnapping seeing as I was so willing! I’d never been to Yarra Valley Chocolatarie & Ice Creamery before, but I was in love the moment we pulled up, I mean, look at those views!

Once you walk inside, it’s a bit like a Willy Wonka-esque dream! It’s so bright & colourful. I really didn’t know where to go, I was just wanting to look at everything! Luckily Kayley had been before and lead us over to the cafe area.

The YVCI currently have a Hot Chocolate festival on where they have 31 different hot chocolate flavours over 31 days. Mmhmm, 31 flavours! Pretty much 8 different flavours every week. I didn’t have too much of a problem choosing from this weeks flavour, one jumped out at me straight away.

That my dear friends is the ”Hot Gaytime'”. For those of you who don’t know, a Golden Gaytime is an Australian ice cream. It was soooo good! It was described as “A saucy caramel and honeycomb experience; indulge in caramel infused milk chocolate drizzled with caramel sauce, honeycomb pieces and served with a spoon of ice cream and a vanilla marshmallow.”

Other flavours for the month include Frog in a Pond, Espresso Martini, Honeycomb & Lavender, Salted Caramel Popcorn, Basil & Tomato, as well as Mississippi Mud Pie. I kind of want to go back to try more!

After the hot chocolate, I took a little wander around. The variety of different chocolates was uh-may-zing. All different flavours and designs. A whole range of shapes ranging from tennis balls to Australian animals.

As you can see above, they have a viewing area where you can watch them making stuff, it was really fascinating to watch. They were making Plumpticious Plums.

Seriously, so many flavours! Other chocolates I noticed was Caramelised Sesame & Celery, Toasted Coconut & Curry Leaf, Violet & Forest Berries. Flavours I would never have dreamed of!

Oh, and the amazing smelling body range! I tried some of the mint lipgloss and it was really good.

I also had lunch there, a delicious pulled pork baguette that was so huge I struggled to finish it. 10/10 would eat there again, and again, and again! Also, take another look at that view!
