Melbourne Cup Fashion

For those in Australia, and even for many overseas, they know that Tuesday was ‘The Melbourne Cup’. It is indeed a race that stops the nation, so much so, it’s a public holiday in Victoria. I’m not really a horse racing person, but fashion, well you all know fashion is something I love, and the Melbourne Cup is where the big guns get pulled out.

I’ve been searching for a full length picture of this outfit, but from the shoulders up, it’s AMAZING! Look at those spikes! While looking over pictures, I noticed a lot of floral and digital prints, a style I am very into at the moment. Plus size designers, WE NEED DIGITAL PRINTS PLEASE!  I was so in love with the variety of colours. So many marvelous headpieces. Floral crowns, hats, fascinators and what was dubbed “hatinators”.
